Adobe is making it hard for us to do our job!

The WSU Photography area has been trying to add new software to our digital/photo lab for the past 2.5 months. Unfortunately Adobe is currently auditing WSU. (we do not know the details)

What we do know is:
1. The photo area has not been able to add LR3 nor LR 4 now to our classroom
2. That in talking with Adobe representatives, there is mixed messages and a somewhat
aggressive tone in terms of trying to procure educational software. (one Professors experience)
3. That the current hubbub is beginning to effect our ability to teach (ie, educate, indirectly market, and inevitably sell Adobe's software down the line)
4. That if this persist, we may be forced to use Apple's Aperture program for summer courses
5. Adobe used to have a reputation for being friendly to educational institutions. Over the past several years their appears to have been a shift and we no longer feel supported by Adobe but instead treated
as second class consumers.
6. We would rather be teaching with the software currently, instead of writing this blog post.
